You're Invited to a 5-Day Creative Expansion Challenge
Practices and insights the help you go of the drive for external validation and allow your creative process to transform you from the inside out. P.S. It’s free!
Over the past ten years creating in the online space, I’ve noticed the overpowering effects of the “copy and paste” productivity mindset. Maybe you have, too? This focus on producing over being present for our experience can cause us to question the validity of our own pace and process. It can sway us into thinking something is “wrong” with us if we aren’t creating in the same way as others who we perceive to be “successful” are creating.
Ultimately, it can influence us to put our power in the external and our focus on the results, which robs us of our own creative journey…
Which is why I created this 5-day challenge to help you tune into the power, pleasure, joy, and transformational experience of your own creative process.
Let’s call this process becoming your own muse.
What we’ll explore:
• Awakening your senses to experience your body as a source of creative wisdom and inspiration (i.e. getting out of your head and into the creative flow of your body)
• The role of ritual in creative expansion
• Weaving pleasure into your creative practice
• The connection between the creative realm and the erotic realm
• Using archetypes to expand your creative expression and self perception
• Understanding eros and its role in your creative journey
»»» We begin April 22nd and go through April 26th…
If you’re not familiar with eros, here are several other ways you may have heard it referred to
desire
creative energy
life force
kundalini
feminine energy
power
qi
prana
shakti
inner feeling
soul/spirit
love’s fundamentally creative, sensual impulse
With that, let me tell you a bit about the muse archetype, which we’ll anchor into throughout this challenge:
The muse is a pivotal archetype to embody as you embark on the creative journey. She is the creative mother; eros’ devotee; the oracle of love’s ever-flowing energy.
She is the bridge between heaven and earth. Her body is her medium, eros’ instrument of pure receptivity. She is divinely inspired; here to open, feel, channel, receive. She is the epitome of non-judgement. She is a shapeshifter. She is a grateful visionary.
The muse lives and breathes inspiration; she is turned on by her own breath, the sounds in her environment, her own beauty, just as she is by the lush life in an old growth forest, a blade of grass, raindrops on her tongue, glimmers of light through a window. She finds beauty everywhere. She is an alchemist. She turns lead to gold and water to wine. Everything she touches becomes a canvas for creating.
Imagine her skin, opalescent and ever changing, her veins glowing with golden threads of eros’ wisdom. When she speaks, she becomes poetry. When she sings, her whole body becomes music. When she dances, the universe dances with her.
She is like water glimmering in the moonlight; formless form, shapeless shape, endless waves rolling, bringing with them shells, and sea glass, hidden treasures risen from the ocean of consciousness.
In my experience, embodying the Muse archetype is a portal to creative freedom not just in traditional artforms like painting, writing, and drawing, but in the way you live and love as a whole. Connecting with your inner muse can transform the way you show up everywhere from romantic relationships to friendships to the way you cook your meals to the way you exercise, and anything else you can imagine
I’m so excited to share these practices with you because I know they are the beginning of a revelatory experience of what creativity can be for you.
»»» If you want to join us, I’ll be posting the challenge prompts to a post here on Substack, which I’ll update daily. There will also be a chat thread for the challenge where I’ll let you know when each day’s challenge has been uploaded.
Again, we officially begin April 22nd and go through April 26th, but if you’re eager to get started, there is some foreplay to get you in the mood and mindset
I can’t wait to create with you!
xx Faye
P.S. If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments, and feel free to share with anyone you think may be interested.
P.P.S, though I refer to eros as a “she” this challenge is open to anyone regardless of gender. In my teaching, I use terms like feminine and masculine energy to describe the nature of polarity in the universe, but you can think of this as synonymous with yin and yang, movement and stillness, energy and consciousness, or any other terms that feel good to you.
unfortunately I won't be able to join this. Telegram asks for a QRcode to 'download on your phone' I don't have a smart phone.
Hi love! I tried to join but got a url failure on my end…
