i’d rather be(come) absorbed in the pink of a flower against the grey blue sky than almost anything. call me crazy. call me a flower faery. all i know is i have the ability to become inspired by just about everything i encounter in nature.

i love that the word inspire means inhale. and that expire means exhale. and that spirit is threaded through all of it.

i love that this rhythm of out and in, up and down, love and fear, i see and i forget. i forget and i remember. is perfect and natural. i love contrast. i love duality. i love this reality. i love playing on the computer and kissing flowers. i love where i am now. i love where i am going.

have you ever felt like… you just wanted to thread flowers between your fingers and actually you did not need that thing everyone else is wearing just because it’s on sale on the internet?

side note i have finally accepted that purple is a color i love. i spent most of my life rejecting purple as a color i could wear and look good in. but things are changing my friends. purple is entering the realm of fashion consciousness.

are there any colors you used to feel bleh about but are now softening towards?

the longing persists and so do i.

public declaration that i am holding strong to my sweet soft flower fortress though.

i will flirt with the peonies and the cherry blossoms and the chrysanthemums and myself in a mirror and i will write poetry and i will create and create and create and i will channel cosmic orgasms through my fingertips and i will feel all the heartbreak and all the joy and all the things and i will dance and dance and dance and i will and i am becoming and i am.

looking closely at flowers is one of my favorite activities. it is impossible to forget about magic when you are really looking at a flower. really looking. each delicate, perfectly crafted tendril. every petal arranged in its beautiful way. reaching for its next guest. open, inviting, tantalizing with its sweet nectar.

the other day i smelled a dandelion so deep i got its pollen all over my nose and was walking around with its yellow honey essence on my face for 30 minutes before i realized and i laughed.

i laughed as part of this divinely organized organism we are living within. living as.

i laughed about this nose that is so delighted by the simplest things and these eyes that can feel the beauty of light arranged in infinite shapes and i laughed about the fact that i am walking but i have no idea how it’s happening and isn’t that the most wonderful?

step by step by step by step, you are flying. you are. listen. feel the wind beneath you.

what’s that saying? the bad news is you are in freefall but the good news is there’s no ground? a bird gets that. the way they fly and dive and move with the wind and make those gorgeous patterns in the sky. the way their bodies transform into unrecognizable shapes. like yours when you’re making love and dancing and twirling in a meadow and in your dreams.

one of my favorite things to do while i’m walking is notice all the adorable things people do outside their homes. what’s in their gardens? on their porches? what do they want me to know about them from the way they adorn their home?

do they have a welcome sign?

i walked past a house with four welcome signs and wondered if they were reminding themselves they are welcome here.

you are welcome here. do you remember that?

i don’t think it gets any simpler. yum.
