Movement is definitely a language and I love the way you translate and celebrate it. I am leaving this wonderful with the contemplation of what it would be like to integrate all the categorical movement patterns and just identify as movement. As poetry in motion.

Always love reading your pieces Faye!

I love this, Jennae. I have called the heart of what I teach the poetry of movement - and I believe ultimately that is one of the most important purposes of training and movement practice. Learn stuff so you can better feel and express and connect with life through your body.

Don’t you think the best part of getting older is how much less you want to contain?! Because we’ve spent time trying to box ourselves in and that shit just doesn’t work! And so we let ourselves flow freely and give more grace to others. And it feels so good 😊

It feels SO good! Like hey, I tried all that nonsense, proved to myself I was no better for squeezing into a twisted box, and now, I can be a bit less stubborn and way more honest about who I am, and acknowledge who others are, too. It really is one of the most invisibly insidious veils. Like wearing a corset since you were born, and not realizing your lungs had 100000% more capacity
