Well hello dear readers,
It’s time to feed the muse again. And she’s hungry. So we’ll get right to it.
Lasting transformation must come from the inside out, it’s true, but sometimes it’s hard to believe the change is happening when you can’t see it on the outside. As the saying goes, seeing is believing. And further, feeling is believing. So this week, we’re gonna do a little something to help ourselves see and feel who we’re becoming. Can you guess where this is going?
Correct. Self portraits.
Now don’t get all, “but I’m not a photographer” on me. I know you’ve taken plenty of selfies. We’re going to take that and make a ritual of it. And there’s no time to waste!
Okay okay, that was just a little test. No need to get all worked up. No need to rush things. But we do need momentum, and only you can initiate that.
Listen, I understand that fear may arise at this prospect of seeing yourself. That’s part of the process - all great change comes with a little fear. Maybe the fear presents as thoughts like:
What if I do it wrong? I never look good in pictures. This is embarrassing, self centered, selfish. What’s the point? This is just too much.
Maybe you suddenly develop the inability to carve out an hour for yourself because there is so much to do.
I get it. Confronting ourselves, our own beauty, expression, and desire to take up space, can be an emotionally charged experience.
The good news is, that’s the point. Remember: there are no wrong feelings.
