Stillness is a myth; inside a dark room, you’ve lost your vision. Isn’t that something? Well, maybe it’s no thing Movement is the real thing. But isn’t that just space buzzing? A mind at rest is still running, in waves, though. Unlike a dog chasing its tail in circles, but then, he isn’t thinking, is he? Looks more like a game of hide and seek. Pure entertainment. There is a movie playing on a blank screen. Watch it if you want to, or breathe and let the scene roll. If you are desperate let me put your mind at ease: this tale will come around again, I’m sure of it. Anyhow, haven’t you heard these stories before? Aren’t you tired of them? Then stop grasping for more of the same thing. This is a silent violence. Let go, my friend. You’ve come here to dance again.

Oooh yeah that can be nice, too. Recently I came across a practice called active rest, or maybe it was called constructive rest, that you might like. I’ll look through my bookmarks and find it
Stillness is a myth, indeed! I notice that even in a quiet peaceful wood the trees are all in various degrees of movement: growing, falling, toppled and leaning, cracked and stripped and eaten, decomposing, sending out pollen and seeds and leaves, welcoming an onslaught of small visitors from burrowing insects to birds. Such chaos and yet such peace in one place!
Thank you for your insightful observations, Faye. I enjoy your posts!
