taste what you are, actually
and grow roots
Bookings are now open for 1:1 creative nourishment sessions via Honeypot, where I guide you into an embodiment of the erotic (living) essence of what you are desiring to create and become… as well as 3-month 1:1 mentorships via Drizzle, through which we unfold your deepest longings and nourish you into embodied fullness.
I find myself wanting to tell you a hundred things, but mainly that it is much simpler than you think, and that your life is happening right now; if only you’d feel, you’d remember this.
Yet I know how life gets: one minute you’re here, the next you’re swept into the whirl, and everything continues.
Well, I’m going to do my best to remind you of this: slow down. Mainly, I want you to remember that life will keep moving and nobody will be upset if you sink into your hips and swirl and swirl and swirl for five minutes until you encounter the primordial substance of your desiring self.
Yes. That magma like thing you sometimes feel purely by accident. That thing that emerges in the quiet moments when you give up — well, what is it you’re giving up — a fight?
Seems that way, doesn’t it?
I know how sometimes it feels like life is pushing you around. Like wave after wave after wave is crashing and you are going to drown and suffocate and vomit and scream but you can’t because your mouth is full of water. so you sink, and some strange calm washes over you.
You’re beneath the surface now. The river below the river.
I want you to know you can go there on purpose. Plunge your roots into the darkness and stabilize it. You do not have to drown.
Sound woo woo? It’s not. It’s pragmatic. especially for you, you fairy creature. You beautiful ethereal thing. There is an oak tree within you. There are sturdy roots and lush branches reaching up to heaven and leaves that sway and sway yet don’t float away.
You’ve been floating for a while, haven’t you.
And you’re ready to land.
I can feel it.
Listen to the drum of your heart. How she beats steady and deep and resounding.
On the edge of the abyss, it’s tricky to remember that you are, in fact, going to land. But you are. Just step that other foot over the ledge.
There is life inside that dark place; it’s soil, not quicksand, though you won’t know until you sink your feet in.
~~~
Here is the point. I can wax on for ages, but if you don’t take the step you know you need to, nothing is going to change.
I won’t bore you with a reiteration of the principles and features of the divine feminine and masculine or the absolute truth of yin and yang or that you are the incarnation of earth and heaven who has been blinded by conditioning — because I know you’ve already read that a million times and still — you hesitate to nourish the change you know in the depths of your soul you are longing to experience.
I am here to give you permission, and to walk with you along the way. To drizzle sweet honey on your fingers and tell you to taste what you are, actually, beneath your conceptions and contrivances and all the ways you think are “you” but you know in your heart are death sentences.
Come, root into the river below, where your essence flows, where your nature is already and always perfect.
Thank you for reading the river below. If you enjoyed what you read, there are a few ways to let me know…
