Tidal wave indeed. A week ago, the night before the hurricane, I had a dream that we were playing outside in a river, having a beautiful time… then everything turned ominous and in the blink of an eye, there it was, a supermassive tidal wave towering above us. It was so visceral. I remember feeling the weight of it looming above me and wondering, what happens when it crashes? Can I dive in at just the right moment in just the right place and swim through to the other side? I woke up right when I was about to find out.
Thanks for the song. A nice break from the sad music I’ve been playing incessantly
I love the poem, and the song, too. Ed Sheeran is such a unique creative force, and a perfect accompaniment to your words. I love writing with music in the background, like a call and response when certain words catch my ear and help me say what I need to say. And the rhythm, too. You're right about his voice, it is wonderfully rhythmic, like a heartbeat
Faye, here's another one that is loaded with rhythm, one of the best dance songs ever, in my funky opinion. His voice is a percussion instrument. My brother is a drummer and he would say this song doesn't need a drummer. Ed Sheeran is a fellow redhead....
Sure has that tidal wave feeling. You got the power. Here's some good old funk music.

Some forces are unstoppable and remind us of the preciousness and precarity of our lives. Just posted something with you in mind.

That song has a freedom to it, a delirious quality, like falling in love and he captures that well.
