comes forth from the shadows

Your devilish temptress
again hath        risen.

                                   Where did she go?

She cometh      roaring    
from the            shadows. 

                                  And so?

My next act of defiance:
inviting her 
to run the show.

                                We all waited 
                                  patiently.
                                           
We,                                    
erotic mystic,                    
playful priestess,                     
mythic lover,                            
devotional artist,                        
entertained her games               
for ages.                                   
                                                
The court 
need 
their queen.

                            Who is she?  

The devil in me.

                            I ask him:

Do you accept 
your sacred mission
to evoke her splendor
in the war against her?

                            He’ll get on his knees
                              pray at her feet
                              beckon forth her
                              sharpened teeth.

There is no force
more worthy
than She.
