Faye, you need a bigger audience, say a billion people.

Thank you Wes, that means a lot coming from you. Perhaps the billion are on their way now that the floodgates are officially open... regardless, I appreciate your eyes and generosity. It feels nice to have you, with your great deal of life experience, nodding yes

YOU SAID IT! I totally resonate with your food philosophy - I do EAT THE ICE CREAM so to speak. For me, it might be donuts. Not all the time, but sometime, and I enjoy the hell out of them and then I go back to my usually healthy eating. I do feel that our bodies will be forgiving of some indulgences when we are feeding ourselves lots of healthy nutrients most of the time. I dieted many years ago - but who I am today - no diets. I eat for me - I add the good stuff and try not to use words that denote negating. I think if we are in an 'add nutrients' mode, the foods that aren't serving us will fall away naturally. AND HEALTHY FOOD can be UTTERLY DELICIOUS! Great post! I subscribed and look forward to reading more and maybe collab in the future!? I want to start doing interviews. Cheers and happy Sunday!

Yeah, I love the idea of adding nutrients, too - simply making sure you have a highly nourishing foundation of foods on the regular. No food is inherently good or bad, it's just that we become nutrient deficient (then overeat trying to get enough, end up feeling icky, etc) if we're not getting what out bodies need.

And yes, totally, healthy food is YUMMY AF!!! Like hello, eggs cooked in ghee with salt and pepper is literally my favorite food of all time 😹 Well, next to chocolate, of course. But they are legit tied for first hahahaha.

Excited to read more from you, Melissa, to. Just subscribed and would love to talk about doing a collab in the future :)

Faye, this is what I need in my life. Something so simple a kindergartener could get it (cuz the overcomplications of life have frazzled my mind to the point of non-functionality). Your philosophy speaks to me and I will be devouring your fitness and food advice with gusto (cuz everything’s about hunger, amirite?). I need to catch up on your previous posts, but I honestly believe you are bringing a revolution to the fitness world in the name of simplicity, authenticity, and somatic awareness. It’s like the world is being called to unlearn all the bad (read: uber capitalistic, mechanistic, marketeering, and mind/body splitting) habits we’ve picked up over the last few centuries. Lead the way, my lovely!💕

Wow, Nida, I am floored! I'm infinitely grateful to have you along for the ride and so so so excited to share more! While I don't know the details of your journey, I understand deeply what it's like to be frazzled beyond functionality. Simplicity as the underlying heuristic is 1000000% what brought me back into authentic connection with myself, my body and life. You totally nailed it.

So funny (and true!) what you said about about hunger - I was writing about that very idea yesterday morning before I read this. Clearly we're reading each others minds.

Anyway, I won't write a novel, but just know I am gushing with happiness after reading this. Here's to the revolution! And p.s. on a practical note, I am curious to know how much time (ballpark) to put into a movement practice would feel doable for you?

xx 💗💗💗

I think I could manage 20-30 mins a day, if there were clear-cut steps on what to do. Something like walking I can even incorporate 60 mins a day cuz it’s mindless and you can listen to music, too. But if being conscious is key, then the shorter amount of time, the better (to start off with at least). Maybe even having options for 10 mins, 15 mins, 30 mins so that different people can choose different programs depending on the day and their schedule.

awesome, thank you Nida! 20-30 minutes is plenty of time, and I am alllll for using the time you have well. Even just 5 minutes of movement can make a world of difference. I'm going to keep this in mind as I continue creating. What I shared today is broken into 3 videos from 5 - 10 minutes, working on different skills. So you can break it up however you want! With the ultimate goal of being able to combine the foundation skills into your own grooves

Love this open and honest piece. The non-diety diet advice is good and vibes with what I have found. Especially getting protein and sometimes bin dipping for cake! I just subscribed to read more.

It’s so true how we often get caught up in external ideals, thinking they’ll bring happiness, only to realize the real journey is about self-discovery. Your reflections and practical advice are a breath of fresh air. The real magic lies in listening to our bodies and finding what truly works for us. TRUE TRUE TRUE
