There’s something in the way we
… mmmmmm, you know the
speaking without words, 
the way I am
silently heard, 
the moment your
breath chills my neck, 
the way I vibrate 
tender violence.

The way of opening these 
devotional pockets of timespace 
through lovemaking.

The way you love me effortlessly,
your hands awakening my spine
before you enter me, ruthlessly.

The way my mind goes blank as
the earth of us quakes.

The way you trust my body,
our brilliant language building
a mystery in luminous, slick, heat.

The slow quickening.

The way our lips reach.

The way I grow hungry
with the rhythm of our 
heartbeats.

The way you see me through
feverish edges, transforming 
tension into sweetness.

The way we are
you and me and we.

The way I breathe reverence
beyond what I believe
I am.

The way we are
a crazy beautiful monster
devouring each moment
and each other
