On this same thread, the thread about paying attention, not the thread about me rejoicing that you exist in the world, Faye...
I was listening to my favorite philosopher being interviewed yesterday, and the interviewer asked the question: "What practices do you engage in?" (basically inquiring whether meditation or yoga or some other practice was involved).
And the philosopher said this: "I only have one practice. I pay attention to life."
I listen to pretty much everything by Bernardo Kastrup. If you want to dip your toe in the water, just search that name on YouTube. His ideas become pretty clear pretty quick. I would be really curious how they strike you.

Cool! When you listen, let me know and let me know what comes to mind. Jung is surprisingly polarizing. Not everyone thinks he had all his marbles. Peculiar how gobbledygook for one is insight for another.
Faye, you have so many beautiful ways to suggest that we pay attention to feel what's happening. A fresh window on it every time. Thank you.
And through each of your reflections, I find more clarity and purpose in my work. I am so grateful to have crossed paths with you Jed. Thank you.

Oh I love this! I was thinking this exact thought yesterday... you only need the one practice of paying attention. That's the connecting thread.
All the other things yoga, meditation, writing... are containers for THE practice, but are often confused with the practice.
Who is your favorite philosopher by the way?
We agree. Imagine that.
