The feeling beneath the impulse — so simple but so hard! I’m thinking of I piece from last week that said “you can never be or have everything.” It sounds harsh but it’s the truth and it’s thoroughly absurd to think we’re capable of everything. What if we took all the energy we spend externally, trying to show off or collect more, and moved that internally?!

Yes totally!! Sure we have the potential to be anything, but in reality, we have to choose to direct our energy, or else we're endlessly floating. How can we become greater embodiments of our unique experiences and understandings of the world?

This is also making me think of that kinda of "I'm so spiritual I just tripped on ayahuasca and met god wait actually I am god" sentiment that floats around social media, the "we are all one, you are everything" type thing, that I think gets so misconstrued. Sure believe what you want to believe, but is it practical? Is there any useful application to your life in concrete reality?

Yeah! and there’s a goodness behind the “we’re all one message.” It helps humanize us, but also there are some people I absolutely don’t want to be lumped in with 😂
