In so many places and in so many ways we have been schooled to look, believe and behave. I have since come to a revelation that freedom is about casting aside the schooling of others to perform a certain way. We are each unique people and have inherent worth and value in being ourselves. So what if I have more than sufficient freckles, or that I carry “too much” weight, or not enough weight. Or that my teeth aren’t quite straight enough or white enough. Or that my sexuality isn’t the same as “theirs” . I am me and I celebrate who I am
i love this question so much. answered as well as my mind could weave the threads together 🕸️🧬💗
to me the erotic is life force / creative energy, which i believe encompasses/creates/destroys/generates & regenerates all things.
so to live an erotic life is to lead with feeling & let feeling dismantle illusions thru openness, curiosity, intrigue.
allowing desire & longing, eros, god, or whatever you call that unseen force, to live through you and move you into the field (to use your word) that when entered, creates connection, nourishment, more aliveness through whatever it’s process is.
i’m curious about your definition too, if you have one?
i looooove this sequence of words you chose - seduces, immerses, saturates, becomes. y e s. i feel it. the coherence.
you write about it beautifully, too. i think we may have first connected over that gustav klimt quote, all art is erotic. like when you are really in your art - the erotic pours through your way of being.

I'm so curious about how you personally define "erotic"-
What does it encompass?
What does it not encompass, if anything?
Forgive me if you've written about this before. I've been an absentee for a while here. (And please do point me in the right direction if you have.)
I am truly enjoying your work.

You covered it.
You don't disappoint :)
Eroticism. I so rarely use this word. But it's a good one, but I actually like what it does to me.
It seems to be anything anything that seduces, then immerses, then saturates, then becomes.
Pathways to coherence
And yes- through feeling rather than language or thought
Which makes it quite the trick to write about :) so kudos
